FISHING REPORT AND SYNOPSIS: 05/8/2018

Peak spring fishing is here! Lots of bugs are hatching in the Smokies, smallmouth bass are heating up, and the Caney is starting to offer some fishable windows especially on weekends. This is looking like a good summer for fishing here in middle and east Tennessee. Spring was unseasonably cool which should make for some excellent summer fishing on the tailwaters in particular.

Still Out There

There are still fall colors out there for those willing to look around a bit. I took this shot over in the Smokies this past Tuesday. More on the fishing later of course. I'm just impressed that such great colors can still be found...

    1. Howard, I wouldn't mind at least a little white. Last year we had already seen white several times by now.
