Back To School

That time of year has rolled around again when fishing must be pushed to the back burner and I crack down and focus on school. At least, that's the story I'm telling. Needless to say, one must have some stress relief on occasion and when that time comes, I'll probably be knee deep in a trout stream somewhere in East Tennessee. Unfortunately, school will cut into my time to think up stuff to put on here so my posts will be running shorter, although I do hope to keep them coming often. I still have several posts to make about West Trip 2007 including the PIG rainbow in Yellowstone among other exciting moments. Check back often and soon for those details...

Also, for those that haven't noticed, we have another poll to the right. Let me know what your favorite season for fishing is...

School Schmool! Shouldn't you be fishing?

Trust me, school is almost useless, other than the classes you find fun for their own sakes. Become a practitioner of voluntary simplicity, live in a hobbit house out West, and fly fish as much as possible. A career isn't all it's cracked up to be.

  3. Yeah, I probably should be fishing but I suppose it is time to knock this school business out...and I probably should move West to live The life...unfortunately, common sense tells me to hang in there at least for now...

From my personal experience, 90% of the stuff that goes on at a typical university is pure ##@$@#$. But, you need that scrap of paper at the end, just to get your foot in the door.

My kids are back in school, so now I'm under the same time restrictions as they are...I think I hate "back to school" as much as them. We might be able to sneak one more trip this fall to the Smokies, then nothing until Spring.

I'm glad you're in school, David, and I think your photos here are gorgeous. Great blog!
