Guided Trips

FISHING REPORT AND SYNOPSIS: 05/8/2018

Peak spring fishing is here! Lots of bugs are hatching in the Smokies, smallmouth bass are heating up, and the Caney is starting to offer some fishable windows especially on weekends. This is looking like a good summer for fishing here in middle and east Tennessee. Spring was unseasonably cool which should make for some excellent summer fishing on the tailwaters in particular.

Native Brook Trout

There is nothing better than a native southern Appalachian brook trout in a high country stream. A true jewel of the Smokies, these fish have been here since long before we showed up. Thanks to a lot of hard work by the Park fisheries department, these fish should be here for a long time to come.
