Guided Trips

FISHING REPORT AND SYNOPSIS: 06/01/2018

Heavy rains the last couple of days means we will see high water on the tailwaters for the next week or two. Fishing in the Smokies is good to excellent though. That trend will continue as long as we keep getting rain. Brook trout fishing has been quite exceptional so far this year. Lower to mid elevation streams are still fishing well because of the increased flows due to the rainfall. Smallmouth bass streams on the Cumberland Plateau are a bit high but should be fishable again in the next few days.

Winter Sun

Yesterday I managed to get out and do some hiking.  It wasn't the fishing trip I had originally hoped for, but since the local creek was still mostly iced up it was better than staying indoors all day.  I always enjoy carrying the camera around and hiking below the Flatirons was no exception.  Most of the time I did not feel particularly inspired but the sun preparing to drop behind the hills was beautiful enough to bring out the camera.  Of course the picture does not do the scene justice, but let your imagination do the rest...

  1. Hey David. Happy New Year. The picture may not do the scenery justice, but beautiful none the less.
